Jamie brings over 15 years of experience in investment banking and entrepreneurial
startups to his role as CEO of KineticD. Jamie's prior business accomplishments
are long and varied. He was at Salomon Brothers in London, where he helped build
the equity derivatives department into an important profit centre. He then embarked
on his future as an entrepreneur, acquiring Wood Printing & Graphics, and later
co-founding integrated marketing communications company Sonar Group.
Jamie then established a solid foundation for Truition Inc., a leading on-demand eCommerce solution provider that was sold to CDC Software.
Jamie holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and Philosophy from the
University of Western Ontario.
Tim is the inventor of KineticD. His main goal was - and continues to be - the enhancement
of our products to drive client satisfaction. As Tim puts it, "I do very complicated
things to make our customers' lives simpler."
One of his early achievements was streamlining the office practices at IBM with
an online fax product that eliminated bottlenecks for the sales team during product
releases. Observing that time-consuming lineups would occur frequently, he designed
a solution that was then sold to 8 other IBM offices around the world.
Prior to developing KineticD, Tim was a Marketing Representative and Systems Engineer
at IBM, where he put his expertise and insight to use in all ends of the product
development spectrum.
Striking out on his own as an IT consultant, Tim developed internet-based solutions
for a variety of clients, from technology vendors to major Canadian finance organizations.
Tim eventually became CTO for one of his clients: BayStreetDirect.com, which was
recently bought by NIAD Systems.
Tim holds a B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University
of Waterloo.
Rob's significant software design and web development experience is an asset often
utilized as he continues updating the web interface and related features to fit
the changing needs of users and ISPs.
Rob came to KineticD with extensive experience developing online e-commerce applications
for technology-driven companies through his own firm, Robert Schenkel Consulting.
For NIAD Systems, he oversaw the web presence and the interaction model between
investors and syndication managers.
During the early stages of his career, Rob worked with a number of high-profile
organizations such as BayStreetDirect.com, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan and McDonald's
Restaurant of Canada developing database applications and other web- based technologies.
Rob holds an Honours B. Sc. in Computing and Computer Electronics from Wilfrid Laurier
University.
Peggy Bennett is an experienced Chartered Accountant whose expertise has been called
upon by a wide range of clients, many of whom are involved in the venture capital
and financial services industry.
Ms. Bennett obtained her C.A. in 1979 while with Deloitte, where she worked as a
tax manager. She went on to open her own accounting practice in 1990. More recently,
Ms. Bennett has served as CFO for Polar Capital Corporation, which operates a group
of offshore hedge funds, as well as a private equity division.
Peggy has served as CFO for KineticD since its inception, and is responsible for
all accounting and taxation matters for the company.
Lars brings over 15 years of experience in successful, fast-growing Internet and
software companies to the KineticD team. A blend of strategic thinking, detailed
understanding of technology, marketing acumen and hands-on approaches has made Lars
successful in leading and driving sales (both pre- and post), managing key enterprise
accounts, building and managing channels (VAR and MSSP), OEM revenue, strategic
alliances, technology partnerships and developing new markets from the ground up.
Having lived and worked in Canada, the US, Europe and Latin America, Lars also brings
his global experience to help KineticD reach IT decision makers around the world.
Lars has had the privilege to work under the guidance of some of the most successful
entrepreneurs in the industry, both in the US and Europe. Previously, he supported
the aggressive international expansion of Qualys, a pioneer in the Software as a
Service (SaaS) model in the network security space and the leader in Vulnerability
Management. Prior to Qualys, Lars built ArcSight's industry-leading technical partner
program and drove alliances with strategic partners like Cisco, HP, IBM, Oracle,
McAfee and Deloitte. ArcSight was acquired by HP for $1.5 Billion in 2010.
Ben Puzzuoli brings almost a decade of experience in the disaster recovery market
to the KineticD team. Ben joins the KineticD team through the acquisition of ROBOBAK,
a company he co-founded in 2003.
At ROBOBAK, Ben held the position of CEO where he was recognized for his technical
knowledge, strategic decision making and ability to focus on the bottom line.
Ben is a true believer in getting his hands dirty and will often be found speaking
with clients, resellers and even answering support. He is convinced that this will
empower him to better understand and serve his customers' needs.
Ben currently sits on the Canadian Youth Business Foundation’s loan committee board
where he donates his time to help educate, motivate and empower today’s young entrepreneurs
to start new businesses. Ben graduated from the University of Windsor with an Honors
degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing his MBA with a specialization
in Entrepreneurship.
Rob Puzzuoli comes to KineticD through the acquisition of ROBOBAK, a company he
co-founded in 2003.
As Chief Systems Architect at ROBOBAK, Rob Puzzuoli focused on managing the entire
software development team and participated in system architecture planning through
an internal system that he took part in designing.
Rob now works closely with the CTO to manage the development and support teams at
KineticD. Together they ensure that the technologies they build scale to fit the
needs of over 40,000 users and company partners.
Rob graduated from St. Clair College with a diploma in Computer Science and holds
a variety of Windows and VMware certifications.
